The Frog Drum D Celtic Minor scale is a light and airy scale that has an enchanting, medieval sound. It is mystical and calming scale, and is among the most popular of all Frog Drum and, even more so, handpan scales.

The D Celtic Minor, also known as the Amara scale, is a natural minor scale with the sixth note of the scale omitted to create a flexible hexatonic minor scale without tying it strictly to either the Aeolian or Dorian mode. This scale is a serene and smooth variation on the natural minor that always seems to find a resolution.

The Frog Drum D Celtic Minor scale pairs well with Frog Drum scales scales in A Integral, E Pygmy, and C Golden Gate, and has a lower-pitched cousin in the B Celtic Minor. Either of the Celtic Minor scales is an excellent choice for beginners and experienced players alike.
