The Frog Drum D Major scale is a happy, uplifting scale. It sounds like a joyful celebration when played.

The D Major scale, as its name suggests, is a Major scale of the Ionian mode, or what is typically referred to simply as Major. It's also known as the Sabye handpan scale, and is bright and cheerful. It is one of the diatonic scales (7 distinct notes with only 2 notes repeated in different octaves), making many chords available to the musician, but in this case also remaining very harmonious across the entire range of notes.

The D Major scale is an excellent choice for a beginner, and being a major scale it can re-create numerous popular songs performed in major keys. It pairs well with the guitar and with Frog Drums or Art Quint drums tuned in B Celtic Minor, B Kurd, and B RUS, as well as handpans tuned in D Major or B Minor.
